Cracker Barrel Lima Beans

  • 1 Chicken Bouillon Cube
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 strip bacon
  • 2 pinches red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and lightly smashed
  • 1 16oz. bag frozen baby limas

1. Bring water and bouillon to boil.

2. Add all ingredients. Cover pan and turn heat to simmer. Cook at least 25 minutes.

3. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve.

  1. The meat in their lima beans is NOT bacon! What meat do they use???

  2. Try thick sliced bacon, cut down the center of the strip long ways. Next cut the two new strips into smaller pieces. Lightly cook the bacon to get the bacon grease out of the meat.
